I'm not sure if you saw my comment to Maverick's same question on that topic, on the ASND thread. I would love to see NT trump LU's recent networking aquisition binge with the takeover of ASND. NT has a stellar balance sheet, and has been strangely silent on the aquisition front, considering its archrival has been the complete opposite. I realize that CS and SHVA have close ties with NT, however I can't see how either of them are the answer to what NT needs to combat LU and CSCO...it seems to me that CS would take them in the wrong direction, and SHVA is only a shadow compared to ASND -- kind of like LU's aquisition of Livingston.
