Jerry,

You are not thinking.

Identix uses Bio-ID pattern recognition technology that can't be used by law enforcement. We are not talking law enforcement now...we are talking bio-ID and E-Commerce. There is no conflict with any other law enforcement products....NEC, Locheed, IBM, TRW.....and NEC uses IDX bio-ID products anyhow. There is a huge difference between law enforcement and E-Commerce applications......Kind of like cars and bicycles.

People will not agree to be printed for E-Commerce if they feel that their print is being handed over to various law enforcement data bases for a "quick check"......which you know can be done in a matter of moments.

The world needs to know that the Identix technology is privacy friendly........The way to market your product is to show how your products are superior than other products. This is what Fowler will be attempting to do. The California Banks have now said that they are moving towards biometrics and that they want security and privacy for their customers......enter pattern recognition. RatMan wants pattern recognition.........so do 99% of the public. They just don't know it.

California banks are on the move....IDX is on the move. I do not see the down side here. It is about time IDX steps forward with the one product that makes the most sense. Think.
