Look back in history, its how its always done, usually due to wars.

Inflation after Vietnam wiped out half the debt in real terms.

Jeff, there is nothing "illegal" about the debt ceiling. If you want to remove it, go ahead. Just don't lie about the reasons why you want to remove it.

As for that 2nd amendment "whataboutism," I'll take that as a concession of weakness in your argument.
