Job growth is very strong. The unemployment rate is 3.4%

Many who are getting laid off or quitting are finding another job very easily.

Sure, the high profile tech companies are laying people off. Maybe it is not so easy to find a comparable 6 figure salary in tech land.

Lots of workers are demanding remote work and will not work in a office setting 5 days a week where they need to spend time commuting.

Home prices and rentals are still high. Part of the problem there is Airbnb where excess supply has not been taken off the market to match weakening demand due to higher rates.

The Fed is clearly frustrated due to the strong labor market.
