>> US court lets Nomai sell rival to Iomega's Zip <<

I think it is good for IOM in the long term. Margin reduction is unavoidable for IOM, $299 for an external Jaz is still too expensive compare to SparQ. To me, $249 for the external Jaz and $50 for the 1gig cartridge is more reasonable. Similarly, the HiFD will priced similar to Zip, so IOM must sell as many Zip as possible to prevent HiFD getting popular (when it is released). The availability of Nomai media will help speed up the general acceptance of Zip. IOM may leak some $$$ to Nomai but it is still a good way to maintain is market leader position. Think about this, will you buy a car which can only take genuiune motor oil or you rather like to buy one which accept generic brand (assume the quality is similar)? Another good example is Apple vs PC.

Thanks
