To All, Is there any explanation as to why all silver stocks (PAA, SSO, PFG, ..) would close lower today in the face of lower COMEX silver inventories and good silver price performance? Does someone know something we silver bulls do not know? or is it that investors are still skeptical that current silver prices will hold? If the latter, then we should buy more of these stocks. If it is the former, then troubles may be ahead. Boy! this must be the strangest bull market in silver stocks that I can remember.

BTW maybe some Americans will want silver if they become educated enough to the potential problems with year Y2K.

TD, I've been seeing similar statements for some time and have been wondering, given a Y2K disaster, why would one be better off with Ag than with Au?

Regarding the BusinessWeek article: They seem to be saying somewhat the same thing Merril Lynch was saying; viz., that the demand for silver in India is very elastic. Interestingly, there has been little discussion on this thread of this potential monkeywrench in the "silver bull".

I would consider no reply "too basic".

TIA,
O. H.
