There was one slight cut in 2018.

For the most part, the DOT's budget has gone up and to the right:



Either way, the whole notion of "crumbling infrastructure" has always been a convenient excuse to spend money.

Back during the Obama years, "infrastructure spending" was a convenient slush fund for the Democrats.

Brandon is continuing the same political strategy, because the Brandon administration is pretty much a complete continuation of Obama.
