Bill: I've been meaning to respond to your remarks about flagging Insider Trading.

As I see it, the problem is that nearly all securities are held by Banks or Dealers in nominee or street form. It is therefore impossible to say which shares are owned by whom - without reference to the institution's internal records which are confidential. This is in itself desirable, because most investors want their trading to be confidential.

Insider Trading Reports rely on the honour system. In the distant past when I was an insider of various resource companies we had (at least with the OSC) to file an Insider Trading Report by the 10th of the month following the month of the transaction/s.

By the way, do any of you who are interested in PFG, follow Chesbar?
M.CBI . This is another 'Barrick play', and I am told that there will be 'drilling news' (from Venezuala) for quite some time.

The stock has been acting like a dog (but so many have!), but I would have thought that it should be investigated, and therefore if anyone knows something it would save some digging.

I used to be a director of CBI, at that time the stock was dormant following the failure of the Chesbar Iron Powder venture.

Chesbar is named after the famous (notorious?) Lou Chesler of 1950's fame.

Isn't margin $3.00 on the TSE? Of course, margin calls can be triggered by other stocks

Cheers!

Can someone tell me why Mr.Buffet is going around flapping his face off about how much silver he got? Its been in every major news paper around the world. How come he didn't tell everybody everything else he bought and sold this year? - cause he didn't want to influence the market, or give away his secrets, and, as far as he's concerned, its nobody's business.
Now silver, that's a different story. For a quick return on this baby all he got to do is create a bit of hype for a couple of months and unload all the silver he bought at $3 and $4. Just like the junior mining companies do!! My guess is he got no more silver left than I got wheat.
The sellers today were probably the old warrant holders getting out before the new ones come in. It'll be good to get rid of them all in the coming months so we can see some share appreciation.
Some food for thought.

Goodluck

Right Bill but does anyone really know for sure how much is held by so many and are they all telling the whole truth? Did someone take a poll (pole)?

Gene
