lml,

I'm just about to leave for the day but two quick responses.

Is the consumer gonna realize any better performance with the 12MB v. the 8MB card, & if so by how much?

I don't about a generic consumers but gamers who want to play the newest games at the fastest rates believe there is a difference. While currently no games that take advantage of the larger texture memory I'm sure there soon will be. And gamers who have been burned before will step up and buy the larger configuration.

Assuming there is a difference in performance, will it merit the consumer spending the extra $70 for the CREAF 12MB card.

Again not sure about the generic consumer. The serious gamer will be buying two 12mb cards.

Disclaimer, I am long on Creaf and believe it is a much better run company. Check out the Creaf thread. Just ignore some of the posters.
