Hey, Vantive Heads! Wake up! Clouds of fear, uncertainty, and doubt about the Customer Interaction market are dissipating. Vantive is trading at 50 times 1997 earnings after posting revenue growth of about 80%. Margins have been very stable for quarters, Vantive is managing their growth very very consistently, and 1998 looks to be a another good year for Vantive. I predict we have a healthy outlook for Vantive stock this year. The biggest question for Vantive is one of relative focus: customer support? SFA? large call centers? Vantive's in a good position for hedging its bets. Vantive's got to concede that it's not going to be able to be the market leader in stand-alone SFA. But there's a lot of healthy growth there. And Vantive IS the market leader in support, and probably as big as anyone for integrated sales + support deals. Comments?
