Sdgla's IS the definition of insane. We haven't stopped drugs even though we've spent BILLIONS over 90 YEARS. What the drug war did do: 1) made billionaires out of drug lords, some are getting big enough to threaten us more than sovereign countries. 2) corrupted not only other governments but our own (see Serpico) same as alcohol prohibition 3) Needlessly killed hundreds of thousands of people... same as alcohol prohibition, people died from bad booze... same as people's kids dying from fentanyl. Nobody dies from bad booze since we repeal alcohol prohibition. 4) Created a gigantic useless bureaucracy... but I guess you LIKE BIG GOVERNMENT 5) Taken away civil rights and voting rights from millions of minority voters which was one of the intentions of right wingers when the drug wars started. Their other intention was to provide jobs for thousands of USELESS INCOMPETENT anti-booze prohibition cops and preserve a GIANT USELESS BUREAUCRACY. 90 years of typical right wing denial of reality and bigotry.
