She's right. The traditional way for civilizations throughout history was to pay for WARS... is by devaluing the currency.

Like our 10 trillion dollar wars in Iraq and Afghanistan... devalue the dollar by 50% and you only have to pay 1/2 back.

This happened after Vietnam too... it usually happens a few years after the wars.

The Romans did it too... their "silver" coins contained so little silver at the end, no one wanted them, so people relied on barter and the European economy collapsed into the dark ages.

Archeologists rate the economic health of a civilization that uses silver coins by the amount of silver in the coins. In England there are armies of "Detectorists" combing the hills for coins and artifacts.

The other way to defray costs is to supply proxy armies like we're doing in Ukraine...
