If your annuals are delayed by 2 months and internal audits have to be changed bc of money expenses, then I believe the firing of the CFO is a reasonable decision. For the first time since long I believe that governance has worked. Still bad for the company and the outlook. But change is possible, now get a few more off the payroll. Would be interesting to know his relationship with DB. Did he really fire a friend?
