Several high-ranking officials were approached by a whistleblower about the damaging information, including House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Republican Senator Chuck Grassley. They alleged that the FBI was in possession of a document from June 2020 that detailed the source's allegations about Biden. This included a 'precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose', the whistleblower claimed. The whistleblower told Fox News that the source was used by the FBI for 'at least several years' before they came forward with the bribery allegations. Internal vetting of the source by the agency found them to be 'highly credible'. The bureau did not immediately respond when contacted by DailyMail.com. The story was first reported by Fox News.
