Thanks. You might not be aware that Apple's SSDs in their Studio Macs are tied to the individual machine. Any attempt to add or replace one by a 3rd party bricks the Mac. If I remember correctly they have 2 slots also. If you get one SSD, its much slower because part of the M chips that makes them faster is that they can address two at a time. You cannot add a second one. I'm not even sure Apple can add a second one.

This is from memory. I posted more about this a few months ago.

Some people are using minis to run Logic Pro and getting good results so I may go that route.
