JP,

I agree. I wonder how these things are going to be demoed in the stores? My guess is that you are going to have to set up an appointment for a time slot to try these on. I also wonder if there will be training areas for these to be set up. We may know these devices are coming if all the stores, all of a sudden, get an area renovated for the VisionPro.

People on a budget will go for the Oculus but Apple set the bar really high with this device. Even if the new Oculus is a good device, it will seem cheap by comparison. Also, I am thinking that much of what Apple has learned about spatial orientation from their car effort has been incorporated into this device. Now, they need to shrink the device and improve the battery life.

Interesting... some people "get it" but they don't get it.

""Miller said consuming content like movies, TV shows and sports games was particularly impactful: “The experience is absolutely incredible.”"

People are still thinking VR instead of TV...

"Thompson wondered if the Vision Pro might become the world’s “most expensive paper weight.”
Even so, he said he suspects the Vision Pro is “the future of the Mac.”'"

Apple Vision Pro demo roundup: Here’s what everyone is saying

One link to a story on the same page (club members only) seems to get it partially. At least they see its about content.

"The promise of Apple’s new mixed-reality headset isn’t really about the headset"

People get an idea fixed in their mind, sometimes its incorrect. Like people who were fixed on Blackberry keyboards when Apple introduced a phone with a touch screen. Which led to apps...
