On the other subject, I always loved reading but wasn't into fiction. I am a science nerd. My grandfather was a doctor who had an extensive library. I probably read every book in it. Hundreds and hundreds of books. I can still smell the formaldehyde on the surgical ones from when he laid them on the cadavers while he practiced techniques.
He also subscribed to just about every medical journal to keep up with the advances. I read those as well when he was done with them. I considered going into medicine but as an adventurous teen didn't want to get stuck in school for another 8-10 years and wanted to travel the world instead. However, I did continue school while in and took numerous psychology courses since like I said, I was always fascinated by it.
I don't know why, maybe I'm nuts like many of you think but I also have read many novels on true crimes as the abnormal psychology angle is hard for me to grasp. I forget the name of the book but one that sticks in my mind was the serial rapist in Seattle that the police were clueless about (as usual). He basically would tell them in advance where he would strike next and they still couldn't catch him for years. He wanted to get caught in a way but it was a game to him. He only raped redheads and even got one poor woman twice years apart. He got frustrated and finally got so specific with his time and place warning they were able to bait him and catch him. His description of how he justified his actions were intriguing and revolutionized how we view that kind of mind.

I should add that though max pain floor is a bit lower, I imagine short term, they want to leave enough buffer room in case of a Fed shock that would take us lower.
