K,

Don't we all pretend to know something we don't?

The Oregon Fab is indeed the key strategic lever for the company but that still doesn't take away from my belief that they built it too early. However, now that they have it means that they do not have to rely on outside foundries for fabbing C6. IMO this gives them great leverage in negotiating for outside production if needed unlike the situation that Cyrix found themselves in.

As for technology, this fab will take them to 0.25um. But I ask, are they now producing 0.25um parts? I have not seen
any announcements? You say IDT is shipping 0.25um. What's the part name - not C6??? If it's C6 then we should be
seeing a smaller die size than their 0.35um C6's 88mm2 and hopefully faster speeds. This can only be good news for us.

I personally think CY has great process and circuit design. Although, I'm not sure whether they have great management.

All things aside it's good to see you posting more regular now.

Kane

BTW enlighten on the differences between a memory and logic company. I would have guessed a few sputter m/c's and oxide etchers extra, but then what would I know ; )
