But it gets worse for Gaetz… The committee will investigate whether Gaetz “engaged in sexual misconduct and/or illicit drug use, shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use, and/or accepted a bribe, improper gratuity, or impermissible gift, in violation of House Rules, laws, or other standards of conduct." The Ethics Committee hasn’t decided yet whether it will launch a special investigative subcommittee to escalate the investigation — but it says that, if it does, the committee will announce it to the public and make the results of the investigation public. The investigation into Gaetz’ child sex-trafficking had stalled — but this Congressional investigation might be EXACTLY what is needed to jump start it again.
