I rolled a retirement account from work into a rollover IRA in November. At the time of the rollover, the funds went into a money market account. Since then, I've slowly been investing the funds into fixed income instruments and equities.

The fixed income portion has mostly been going into T-Bills and CDs so far. The initial T-Bills have been maturing and, with the high short-term rates available, I've been reinvesting much of the proceeds into more T-Bills. However, I have been trying to extend the durations when I see favorable rates. I just picked up a 30-month CD (4.8%) instead of participating in tomorrow's 3-year T-Note auction, which is expected to yield 4.239%.

As far as the equities portion, I started out with a core position in VTI, picking up small quantities during the dips. I've pretty much finished with the core VTI position and will probably start adding some sector ETFs as the opportunities are presented.

Best wishes,

I2

Today's 26-week T-Bill auction results:

Term: 26-Week
High Rate: 5.155%
Investment Rate*: 5.381%
Price: $97.393861
Allotted at High: 54.65%
Total Tendered: $178,578,461,000
Total Accepted: $61,446,486,000
Issue Date: 06/15/2023
Maturity Date: 12/14/2023
CUSIP: 912797FU6

*Equivalent coupon-issue yield

I participated in today's auction. The rate was a little lower than last week's auction.

They're estimating tomorrow's 1-year T-Bill auction to produce a yield of 5.207%. I'm debating on whether or not to participate in that one.

Best wishes,

I2
