Re <<Trump shouts, 'Food for everyone!', does not buy food for anyone>>

I am apolitical. I believe in gold.

but, objectively, yes, making fun of the Trump is great fun. He always did promise mirthful entertainment and churned up most exciting drama.

... to be fair, and not so much to defend Trump's implied anything, but just sticking to the facts, your ex-president Trump said, and I quote, "Food for everyone!", as opposed to, "Food on me for everyone", or "Everyone gets a lunch-special on me!"

... also, to be commercial, whilst unclear to me, but possibly occurred to the Trump, your ex-POTUS, that the publicity value of his engagement at the restaurant arguably might be worth a bit of $'s.

Re the Trump, arguably he had in mind a brilliant strategy against America's numero uno enemy China China China that would have cause a bit of issues had he been allowed a free hand to rule, and the strategy really only works at a moment in time that if missed, would fail to work, and that was UNITE WITH RUSSIA AGAINST CHINA. The moment is now well missed and put a fork in it done-done.

Of course the second part of Trump's program might not have worked out as well, that be his imperative to abandon Nato and cancelling a whole lot of multilateral institutions, because at the end of every era, the cages are opened in Europe and the same beasties jump out to play. Same same in Middle East, and never mind Africa, Latin America, and the rest of the sh*thole domains. There would be a mess and some parties might naturally coalesce at some juncture to shape a new reality amidst the mess to disadvantage The Center ala the Jungle & the Garden. Disengagement is unlikely to yield fruits.

Instead, what we now have is the the planet's number two economic power together with, arguably, the world's number one military domain have been forced into a happy albeit unclear no-limits engagement, with each getting a whole lot from the other, that which we term win-win, whilst

(i) crippling the Nato in effect by de-industrialization / de-militarisation,

(ii) alienating the Global South,

(iii) abandoning the Middle East, and

(iv) allowing The Center to in effect be de-industrialised / de-militarised, and

(v) as result be very extremely vulnerable to the still-coming biggest financial storm the galaxy shall experience, that which we might term TeoTwawKi 2026, setting us up for Darkest Interregnum 2032.

If there is sense in above described stratagem, lost on me, and perhaps the powers that be know what they are doing. I only have basic education to guide me, the novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" en.wikipedia.org

The good for the planet thing is that China has no intention to replace the USA, and really only gunning for peace and prosperity of and by a bifurcated world coalescing around China irrespective of what the USA chooses to do to itself, whether continuing to engage with family of nations or withdraw into own world. Why good for the planet? Because the vector does not involve hot war that would end all wars.

China now has one priority set only

(i) Achieve nuclear parity with Russia and even if with Russian assistance as offered

(ii) Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine

(iii) Keep Russia close by offering strategic-depth backstop, and by engaging in forward BBB (build back better)

(iv) Offering Europe backstop by keeping Russia close

(v) Coalesce with Global South

(vi) Mind own business by doing business with all willing would be partners

(vii) Stay true to traditional values

(viii) Do not auto-lose by own-goals

My guesses.

So, given where the Trump is now at, situationally, "Food for everyone" is a very good way forward. Trump is not all-wrong. He really screwed up his term at the being POTUS by being bamboozled by new hires he often working against him en.wikipedia.org . Trump likely did not know how to assemble an effective team, that which we term fatal flaw. Should the Trump gets a second chance, perhaps he would do different.

Dunno, agnostic, wait & see, entertainment and / or drama, whatever happens happens, coming soon.
