Call it an awkward moment in his speech.. clumsy or fuc***g stupid!
If I were he, I'd say absolutely nothing negative at this moment.

If I were he, I'd up the 'freedom of navigation' in the South China Sea; also, screw the traversing
of the Taiwan Strait. I think the member states of S.E. Asia on the South China Sea would be most happy with that.

Arrogance of just plain stupid to be pissing on China's mainland doorstep.
