I don't think Fe-Air batteries have high enough energy/power density to suit EV applications. Mn batteries are compelling, but there must be some reason they weren't pursued first.

I remember camping as a kid and throwing batteries into the campfire, they would give off beautiful colours when they exploded. Nothing explodes as good as a can of 100% pure sesame oil.
