President Biden Says U.S. Was Not Involved in Rebellion in Russia
In his first public remarks since a military rebellion by the leader of the Wagner Group in Russia over the weekend, President Biden emphasizes that the U.S. had nothing to do with it. “We made clear that we were not involved. We had nothing to do with it. This is part of a struggle within the Russian system," the president says. He also says that he has spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO allies and partners and that those conversations will continue. "We're going to keep assessing the fallout of this weekend's events and the implications for Russia and Ukraine. It's still to early to reach a definitive conclusion about where this is going. The ultimate outcome of all this remains to be seen. But no matter what comes next, I will keep making sure that our allies and our partners are closely aligned in how we are reading and responding to the situation. It's important we stay coordinated," he says.

Re <<Chinese people are watching their idea of a strong, unified Russia get dismantled by Wagner's mutiny, and now they're worrying that China might be next>>

(1) above can be one narrative.

(2) below several others, official and analytical

(2-i) official media predictable,

(2-ii) the analytical media, sometimes totally wrong, and at other times totally spot-on, somewhat biased towards spot-on, and say 3 - 30 days ahead of the curve, because all classically educated, reckons

(2-ii-a) Brigozhin has been given authority over tactical nukes conveniently pre-positioned in Belarus a few weeks ago, for the taking whenever Brigozhin chooses

(2-ii-b) Lots of smoke & mirrors, miasma of fog and pouring mist,

(3) As to folks I rap with, they are

(3-i) impressed w/ Putin, and comforted that Putin is in firm charge, now stronger than ever

(3-ii) impressed w/ Prigozhin, and weary that Prigozhin can be in charge should the collective west keep pushing Brigozhin's pal Putin

(4) enjoy some curation of this day, and irrespective of official or analytical media, all generally optimistic / positive / bullish
