You can’t expect the police to come.....He said their economic hardship made him...... Outside of physically restricting or getting violent with a shoplifter, there is little a storekeeper can do. It's not their responsibility to provide law and order, nor is it in their capabilities to create economic equity. They see no reason they should be the victims of society's ills, while the well off are oblivious to the problem, the poor are desperate for diapers, and the opportunists take advantage of the five-finger discount.
