Ned, Was by Aventura today and stopped by RAIN, although didn't eat there. At 3 pm on a partly cloudy day, the mall was packed, taking at least 10 minutes driving around just to find a parking space. The entrance/exit by RAIN looks to be almost done, and gradually that section of the mall is starting to fill in. Many stores are not yet opened yet, including the theaters which will open right next to the RAIN...to open by spring some time. The wing running down to Bloomingdale's isn't as crowded as the other wings yet as a result of the above, but it was much more crowded than last time I visited a month or two ago. Gradually people are becoming aware of its existence, partially I would guess by word of mouth and partially by the gradual increase in openings in the wing, along with some signs through the mall telling of the new wing, naming specifically some of the stores opened there, including RAIN. There was even one of the boards right near another exit to the mall with a RAIN ad. The mall maps located throughout the mall show the theaters/RAIN section distinctly. Now, the restaurant itself had @ a 15-20 minute wait at 3pm on a table for only 2, which bodes well. Granted this would also be a very busy season in this neck of the woods, given some of the south florida seasonal component, but it is getting busier each week. They had some changes in the retail section, with less stuff, awaiting some of the new merchandise, along with Cha-Cha valentine shirts with roses on them, new rubber hanging keychains with Cha-Cha, magnets with the same picture, and pins with a more animated face of 5 characters(tuki, rio, iggy, cha-cha, and ozzie). There were new large mugs which were more mug-like than the shaped faces of characters, with pictures of several characters and a brief description of each inside the mug. There were a few RAIN ties with several animals on them which were the RAIN animals, although not very animated-looking. The retail section was busy, and there were even a few beanies there, but none of the new ones, so less demand for these. The tables were full in walking around, with lots of happy faces and a few people walking around with video cameras, as I typically see at each store. The only downside I could see today was that the waterfall was not running at the time for some reason. Gotta run. Happy Valentine's Day, all. Ned, would you be mine??? ;) Regards, Jupe
