Wharfie,
It doesn't seem to have reached your home.
You and Brumar would like to think that, wouldn't you?

The truth is that my wife and I have worked very closely with Black colleagues in our respective fields.

My only patent with my name on it was in collaboration with a design engineer who happens to be the only Black guy in our entire group. (He was kind enough to include my name in the patent submission because of how closely I worked with him on the design.)

We have also attended a church for a while where the head pastor is Black and the assistant pastor was a Taiwanese-American high school classmate of mine. It is one of the most vibrantly "colorful" congregations I have ever seen. Even Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger gave a sermon at that church at one time.

And the Asian pastor who married my wife and I is very big on Black-Asian solidarity. Like him, I firmly believe in leveraging the church in improving race relations in my local communities.

(That's also a reason why I remain in California despite the crazy-ass politics. The "red states" just aren't as culturally diverse as my wife and I prefer. Every time I walk through the local park and see Indians playing cricket at the baseball field, I think "What a country.")
