Intel has reported earnings, and it is just a few days until AMD reports theirs (Tuesday). Judging by the Intel results, it looks like the bottoming out in the client segment has occurred. Hopefully, AMD has seen some recovery as well. Even a modest improvement should have material effect, considering the 65% year-over-year collapse in Q1 (see below). That said, the Embedded segment is the untold story, and it will be interesting to see the year-over-year progress (note that 2022-Q2 was the first full quarter after the Xilinx acquisition). The Embedded segment may very well be the largest revenue contributor in the completed quarter, while already being the largest operating profit generator by far!
