Ed, I love you guys from the Compaq thread - always full of knowledgeable & fun-loving advice for your poor Texas cousins. By the way how's your stock doing since you swallowed DEC? Isn't it great to have a 20,000+ technical support organization plus that Alpha chip all to yourselves. Geez, you probably even have a 12 to 18 month advantage over everyone else since the merced chip doesn't come out till late '99. Boy, that mid to high end server business must look very promising. Can't wait to see how you handle it? Wonder how IBM & HP will react to your invading their territory? Must admit, I like DELL - simple, basic, straight forward business model with 50% plus annual earnings growth - totally focused. Not many companies like this. Yeah, think I'll stick with these guys now that you've made me think about it!
