It doesn't matter what's out there or in the works. The USA population is around 330 million. The number of private pilots is around 600,000. That's why any small flying car is DOA and even if it sells it will only be into a small niche market. Self-driving cars are still a ways off, except for limited closed urban loops imo. How easy do you think it will be to convince people to get into self-flying aircraft, or even remotely operated as is now done with most military drones? Haha...
