Eddie-
I tried chasing AOL 2 months ago and I got a head no more.
I know the service sucks but you know how hard it is to cancel the service and get a new isp.I think the current subscribers are too lazy to quit.they're comfortable and they ain't switching.GD

Check out the succinct, but thorough, trashing AOL received in Barron's this weekend.

ERG, My problem is, I don't see how AOL ever got to the top in the first place. Actually, I do. They had more gee-whiz stuff for the younger users than did Compuserve and Prodigy, which aimed, mistakenly, at a more adult audience. But, now, none of these access services off much you can't get from anyone. It is still easier to find out where to look with their cute icons instead of doing an Internet search, but it is sure not worth a lot of extra money, IMHO.

Somebody on CNBS the other day said, "odd how they think they can raise prices with an inferior product." -g- That was obviously a competitor. But it makes me think that lots of folks will be taking dead aim at their market share. MB
