Am aware of those shows but don't recall attending one. Some buddies wanted to go when I was in college if a big one within a few hours trip, usually NYC. Back then I was too busy chasing tail or visiting friends at other colleges within a 4-5 hour bus or train ride, or a two hour flight on the weekends. Those were the days.

Definitely attended some single person or 2x "guru" seminars that I had interest in then. For the most part came away thinking that's all they got, wtf? But it was interesting to meet some of them in person. Was also busy building a big economics/finance/market/trading book library back then through purchasing, visiting many libraries, and sharing. Will send a note on that later, software as well.

Am sure the swag bags at the late 1999 money/traders expo were special! Went to some fancy wristwatch trunk shows like that years ago. Was fun for a few years but grew out of it. Had to pay to get in but designed to be value neutral between food, drinks, and overflowing swag bag. Still have a bunch of items I could give away or list on ebay for a few bucks! haha.
