Thanks Bernard,

You ruined my weekend. Less than two bidders per market? What kind of an auction is that? Of course, competition will be keenest for the large markets, so that L.A. may still be strong.

BL, I liked the Bell Core study. Maybe the money men know what they are doing. Any prohibition against them having a phone company do the build out and servicing? Maybe we get a shot at some management contracts. The cash flow would do us good. This article appears to fit with some earlier CVUS announcements about management agreements and sole US representative for CT&T.

Bernard, The beginning of the article is doom and gloom but the last couple of paragraphs put it into perspective. What I got out of it is that there are not a lot of bidders but that the ones who have signed up HAVE MONEY ON THE TABLE. Previous FCC auctions have seen bidders win but then go into receivership because they were betting on the come.

I think we will see some of the markets go for a song while the big markets get heavy activity. Since we will be looking for "comparables" to determine the value of CVUS' license, those heavily bid markets will most probably be the large cities and therefore be easily compared to NYC.

this story is far from over... will take a few years to determine exactly into what form this tech will evolve. The banding together of LMDS hubs with fiber and LEOs is the most likely outcome. CAP
