You're correct. A ratio above 1.6 is generally considered bullish; below 0.85 is considered bearish. When put activity is at its highest, relative to call activity, the market considers the situation overbought, leading to a reduction in the downward pressure upon the u underlying security.

I figure the latest runnup in ORCL has caught a lot of shorts by surprise. There's gonna be strong comments, both bullish & bearish on this stock until the actual numbers come out. Call it fear & greed; call it the market.

MM's don't like to loose money. They would rather have the options exp worthless then having to pay out deep in the money. Don't worry about me, I'll make money on this dog. It should of never of been at 40 and shouldn't be at 26 now.
