I just got the March issue of Popular Science Magazine. Iomega has a two page Zip ad with the cargo plane on page 3 and 4. Page 24 is a one page ad for the 1 Gig SparQ knocking Zip disk and drives. Page 33 has article on a video recorder called a M-DVD, a 2.1 gig by Castlewood, founded by Seagate and Syquest veteran Syed Iftikar. It says the drive could sell for 200 dollars, and the cartridges for 30 dollars. There was no release date. Transfer rate is 12.2 MB's per second, according to Castlewood.
Iomega should come out with a 200 Mb zip drive soon compatible with the 100 Zip, and lower the price on the 100 disk and 100 drives. (This is just my observation and opinion.) -Steve
