SPX - A diamond consolidation pattern formed the last 4 days of July. If you're bullish, you always want the breakout to be down, and this one did not disappoint, resulting in a 121 point decline out of the diamond pattern. The target was 4480.60, and this one pulled up just 4.94 shy of that target, before launching today into a dramatic rally. The double bottom in the bottom right of the chart projects to 4609, and the next hidden pivot targets 4652.
