Ramsey,
I know well what you mean. I also have visited Indonesia and had planned a dive trip there for end of April that now looks jeopardized. We won't go if there is civil unrest. Just too many dive sites here in SEA that offer safer venues. I have a friend here in K.Lumpur that has a family retainer, a maid & nanny, that has been with his family for 14 years. About a year ago she had talked about going back for good. She has done well here and felt it was time to "go home". She changed her mind and decided to stay a few months longer, when all this started to unravel. We chatted with her over the holidays. The personal angst she is feeling is palatable and heart breaking. She has family in Java and is their nearly sole means of support now. The personal toll on people is devastating.

Best,
Stitch
