The "oil subsidies" is a myth, Wharfie.

Where are all the "oil subsidies" in California, for example? I'd sure like to see prices at the gas pump go below $4/gallon, even though the price of oil these days is 33% lower than what it was at this time last year.

And where are all the "subsidies" that are earmarked toward fixing the broken EV chargers that I constantly run into every time I go to the mall or the local shopping centers?

Speaking of which, what's the timeline for offshore wind generation off the West Coast? That article I posted focused on the East Coast.

> Oil and natural gas have always been subsidized.

MORE even. The british fleet converted to oil from coal in 1911. Lawrence of Arabia got it 100% right.

The US has spent TRILLIONS making sure oil flowed including getting rid of Irans LEGALLY elected DEMOCRATIC government in 1953.

Whether or not that was a vital strategic use of our military and our subsidies of dictatorships, it was subsidizing the oil AND the US auto industry that made cars that got 5 mph.

The result was US car companies got fat and lazy and the Japanese took 50% of the market during the oil embargo.

You cannot fuck with the law of supply and demand. Which is also why the drug war has been a TOTAL and very EXPENSIVE failure all around for 90 years.
