Poncho, I agree. AOL's price increase puts them between a rock and a hard place, damned if they do, damned if they don't. To save face, they probably won't just roll back prices at some future date but find a way to roll them back without saying so. For example, recently, when users complained about advertising and threatened to drop AOL because of the ad clutter, AOL told people how to shut off the ads as a sales concession. Something like that. People threaten to quit and they give them something that reduces the cost. My point was to look for these future "backdoor" discounts as evidence the $21.95 rate is hurting them.
