Yeah, I think MXL should probably get sued for the timing of their announcement, and I'm surprised there has not yet been a class action. Usually the legal vultures are pretty quick to arrive.

I've changed my mind and think there's no longer any bankruptcy risk for MXL, but I don't know how this ends up. Lower deal price, or same deal after a protracted legal battle, or a break up fee. Which one ... I don't know.

With SIMO's financials turning higher and MXL's turning lower, I sort of think SIMO may pursue a slow arbitration, and try to extract as much cash out of MXL as possible.

I do wonder how MXL gets out of being responsible for all those who bought SIMO above $90 on Wednesday, and then lost $30 per share by the afternoon? That seems like a major potential headache for them perhaps, or not if that's just "the market" doing it's thing.
