It will be particularly interesting to see how the Embedded segment does, as it is the primary profit driver now, and may very well be the largest segment in today's report. In their guidance last earnings call, AMD said they expect Gaming and Embedded to be down. Judging by Intel's report and industry signals, some strengthening in Data Centre and Client seems to be likely. Now it remains to be seen how much Gaming and Embedded have declined, if any.

"Based on customer demand signals, we expect second-quarter revenue will be flattish sequentially with growth in our client and data center segments, offset by modest declines in our Gaming and Embedded segments."
