The truth is a lot less dramatic. Brandon probably knew that his coke-addled son was using his name as "branding," but that's not illegal.

Plus there is a measure of plausible deniability there. Brandon probably didn't have much knowledge into the details of his son's business dealings.

In any case, the testimony from Devon Archer has turned out to be a relative dud.
