, "'Emma with two mommies' isn't going to work."

How about "Emma and her mothers kill Bud Lite"?

ALL militaries have engendered propaganda. All of our major government buildings and the statues within are propaganda. Cathedrals and giant temples are propaganda.

However... we are in a modern age now not the dark ages of the Cathedrals. Just because there was propaganda before us doesn't mean we should pay for it to continue. Government's job is to protect us and our rights and when it makes sense to help build our economy through infrastructure because a strong economy means a strong defense.

Government should not be in the "Look at us we are great" business. Voters should decide who our heroes are and what government is doing its job. Not propaganda.

As for recruiting... if government was a little more careful about using it, I'm positive there are enough people in America who care about the Bill of Rights they wouldn't need propaganda to get recruits. Shit like Vietnam poisons the well. We didn't have a problem with recruiting in WWII.

> So is Top Gun: Maverick.

That is private money. I have no objection to that. I object to public tax money spent on propaganda.
