Brumar,
Sounds far fetched. I think I can shoot someone before they can turn around.
Police can't even do that, and they have MUCH more experience than you do.
I was never taught any such thing[, namely to keep firing until the threat is stopped]. I have a .357 and think one shot would put 'em on the ground.
Cause of course, from the moment you draw your .357 to the moment you pull the trigger, you're going to have all the time in the world to aim, right?

Come on, the point of firing until the guy is stopped isn't just about stopping power. It's also about marksmanship.

In any case, I think I've read enough. Based on this post alone, I don't think you have enough training on your firearms to be an effective defender. Which, ironically, is exactly the problem that you cite with the 2nd amendment. Too many people think that all they need to do is point-n-shoot.

I can't even pull out my iPhone and point-n-shoot a photo in the moment. Most people can't, either.

What makes you think you can do better when life is at stake?
