It is hard to figure how much cash they do have from the press release. They got $1.6 billion from the sale of London Life and about $250 million from the sale of Gentra. They spent $300 million of this so they netted about $1.5 billion. How much of this is in cash cannot be figured out from the limited amount of information they released. Total Assets are $2.9 billion and shareholder equity is $2.1 billion. There are 162 million shares outstanding and the book value is listed at $10.39

Not much action on this thread. Earnings are up again by 50% year over year and 40% quarter over quarter although revenue not up so much. I wonder if the new business mix will smooth out earnings. There used to be a tendency for the second and third quarters to be the most profitable for TFC. I guess the next quarter results will answer this question.
