C.K.,

You can usaully receive your certs within a 2-3 week period, dependent on the responsiveness of the Tranfer Agent. While costs may vary, there is usually a fee of approx $12 for having your certs physically delivered.

The bonus to this strategy is that you effectively remove those shares from the float and thus are not shortable. The smaller the float, the more volatile the stock price due to fewer shares being available to trade. (Usually to the upside... :0)

One recommendation though... If you wish to maintain some liquidity, I would suggest that you either open an account with a brokerage with a physical prescence in your area to which you can immediately drive to and drop off the certificates should you wish or need to have liquidity. Most online discount brokers require that the shares actually be physically mailed to them and applied to your account before permitting a sale.

Waterhouse is one of our brokers, although once you have the cert you can sell it through any broker which which you hold an account.

Regards,

Ron
