Linda, alternatives for using the mouse were discussed in the early posts on the "Welcome to SI" thread:

Suffice to say that the browser is the limiting factor, not SI.

[keyboard commands for the Next button]

Linda, I found another way to get to the NEXT button with my setup, it may work differently with your browser.

Three hits on the TAB and then ENTER gets you to the PREVIOUS
or four hits on the TAB and then ENTER gets you to the NEXT button.

You can hit SHIFT TAB and it will go backwards (from NEXT to PREVIOUS) but the cursor position always starts at the top with a new page.

Jeff, would it be possible to program the start position of the cursor so that it is on NEXT when a new post arrives? We would then push ENTER to advance to the next post or SHIFT TAB ENTER to go to PREVIOUS. Does the TAB feature work the same on most browsers?

EDIT oops, got my Jeff's mixed up
