I taped the launch live feed. About 2 hr 30 minutes worth. I would like to make it available to everyone on this thread but I have no means of duplicating VHS tapes nor of making part or all of the tape web accessible. I'm certainly willing to ship my tape to someone having this capability. Any takers?

The launch went off in somewhat low visibility so the rocket itself is somewhat less than spectacular. There are a number of about 3 minute segments spotlighting G*, QCOM, Loral, having interviews with upper management people. There also is about a 10 minute live interview with Bernie Schwartz at the Cape.

Expectation is full service in second quarter 1999. All handsets will be at least dual mode to seamlessly interface into GSM/AMPS/CDMA cell networks.

I wonder if the ability of the handsets to handoff from cellular to satellite and back is an inherent problem for Maurice's dynamic pricing scheme? I for one feel his solution to keeping the network at maximum use is a good idea and hope that it is embraced.
