The most popular and dangerous drug in America is booze. I once knew a doctor who shot up alcohol so people wouldn't smell it on his breath. He's sober now. Alcohol is responsible for far more deaths in the US than drugs.

Crime from drug addicts is the result of prohibition just as crime grew during alcohol prohibition. Heroin is cheap to produce. Addicts can function reasonably well on heroin. I've known many with good jobs. But due to drug laws its expensive as hell so its no wonder many junkies will steal to get money for it. Its the lifestyle that they fall into due to prohibition that generally pushes them into homelessness.

If it was legal it'd be cheap, and no ones kids would be dying from fentanyl. Every time I see mom complain that fentanyl killed her kid I think "nope, prohibition killed your kid. He/she wouldn't have OD'd on fentanyl if morphine was legal and freely available" like it was before the end of alcohol prohibition.

Its real fucking sad that a law that supposedly does something about drug abuse is actually killing thousands of kids now. We WILL learn... just like we did about marijuana... but not before thousands more parents who thought the drug wars were good find out the drug wars killed their kid. Its gotta be rough admitting that to yourself... the propaganda you believed actually resulted in your kid dying... never to return.

Parents didn't suddenly become bad parents... there are reasons for everything. Like my ex complained parents in South Central didn't come to evening meetings of parents and teachers.

She inherited money. She didn't know parents in south central frequently have 2 or even three jobs. Parents in the white suburbs have ONE job generally.

Its just ignorance. People don't choose to be poor... there's a damn obvious reason gangs are rampant in the ghettos.
