Oracle Products for intraNetWare

Novell and Oracle have announced that Oracle8 for intraNetWare and Oracle Application Server
for intraNetWare are now available. With Oracle8 for intraNetWare, you can run the latest
version of Oracle's industry-leading database software on an intraNetWare server. And with
Oracle Application Server for intraNetWare, you can use Oracle's Network Computing
Architecture (NCA) to easily develop Java-enabled applications on an intraNetWare server.
You can even manage these products through Novell Directory Services (NDS).

For more information about Oracle8 and Oracle Application Server for intraNetWare, visit
Oracle's World-Wide Web site (http://www.oracle.com/platforms/novell/html/press129.html).
You can also call 1-800-ORACLE1 or 1-650-506-7000.

BorderManager FastCache

Novell is now shipping BorderManager FastCache, which stores frequently accessed web files
in cache. By setting up BorderManager FastCache at the border between your company's
network and the Internet or an intranet, you can reduce network bandwidth and accelerate
users' access to the web.

Because BorderManager FastCache includes a run-time version of intraNetWare, you can
integrate BorderManager FastCache with your company's network, and you can perform
management tasks quickly and easily. BorderManager FastCache also includes an IP-to-IPX
gateway and Netscape Navigator.

You can purchase BorderManager FastCache through any Novell authorized reseller, and you
can download an evaluation copy from
novell.com. For more information about
BorderManager FastCache, visit Novell's web site (http://www.novell.com/bordermanager). You
can also call 1-800-NETWARE or 1-801-861-5588.

Novell Replication Services 1.2

Novell is now shipping Novell Replication Services 1.2, which allows you to replicate
information across your company's network or intranet. With Novell Replication Services 1.2,
you can distribute information stored on one server to multiple servers in the NDS tree. Novell
Replication Services 1.2 then synchronizes this information whenever a change is made. As a
result, users can access up-to-date information from a local server.

Because Novell Replication Services 1.2 is integrated with NDS, you can easily manage the
entire replication and synchronization process through NDS. Novell Replication Services 1.2
even includes a snap-in module for Novell's NetWare Administrator (NWADMIN) utility, which
allows you to perform management tasks from your workstation.

You can purchase Novell Replication Services 1.2 through any Novell authorized reseller. For
more information about Novell Replication Services 1.2, visit Novell's web site
(http://www.novell.com/nrs). You can also call 1-800-NETWARE or 1-801-861-5588.

ManageWise 2.5

Novell is now shipping ManageWise 2.5, the latest version of Novell's network management
software. ManageWise 2.5 includes several new features:

The ability to manage Windows NT workstations
The ability to track statistics for multiple servers on one graph
The ability to generate daily and monthly reports in HyperText Markup Language
(HTML)

ManageWise 2.5 also offers extended support for third-party add-on products. ManageWise
2.5 even includes InocuLAN, a virus-protection application from Computer Associates.

You can purchase ManageWise 2.5 through any Novell authorized reseller. If you purchased
ManageWise 2.1 before September 1, 1997, you can receive a free upgrade. For more
information about ManageWise 2.5, visit Novell's web site
(http://www.novell.com/managewise/update.html). You can also call 1-800-NETWARE or
1-801-861-5588.

Year-2000 Compliance

Novell has announced that intraNetWare, NetWare 4.11, and NetWare 3.12 are year-2000
compliant. Novell recently conducted extensive testing to determine how these products will
respond to date changes in the year 2000. The testing has revealed that no significant problems
exist, proving that intraNetWare and NetWare will remain reliable networking solutions well into
the 21st century.

However, Novell did find some minor problems with how certain intraNetWare and NetWare
utilities display dates. To address these problems, Novell has released a set of year-2000
updates. To install these updates, you must upgrade from all earlier versions of NetWare to at
least NetWare 3.12.

You can download the year-2000 updates from novell.com. For
more information about these updates, visit Novell's web site (http://www.novell.com/p2000).
You can also call 1-800-NETWARE or 1-801-861-5588.

NDS for NT Discount

Novell has announced that NDS for NT is now available at a 25 percent discount until April 30,
1998. NDS for NT eliminates many of the problems associated with managing Windows NT
servers on an intraNetWare or NetWare 4 network. With NDS for NT, you can create NDS
objects for Windows NT domains, and you can then manage these objects in the same way that
you manage other NDS objects.

You can purchase NDS for NT through your local Novell authorized reseller, and you can
download an evaluation copy of NDS for NT from novell.com. For more
information about NDS for NT, visit Novell's web site (http://www.novell.com/nds/nds4nt). You
can also call 1-800-NETWARE or 1-801-861-5588.

George:

You might as well sell your 700 shares of NOVL and spare yourself the grief of paying so much attention to NOVL's problems, eh? Obviously you are not quite yet convinced that NOVL is starting to turn the corner. As they say, cut your losses on stocks where fundamentals are not improving, and put the cash in better performers, right?

Time is money <ggggggg>!
